👋 About Me
Snapshot
I’m Kisha Lipscomb, a UX Researcher with a strong foundation in quality assurance and analytics—now applying that rigor to human-centered design.
Currently at the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center, I conduct participant research and design usability improvements for study teams. With a Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction and a passion for accessibility and equity, I create solutions that don’t just function—they empower diverse users.
💡 My Journey
My path into UX wasn’t traditional—it was built on years of solving complex problems in quality assurance and analytics. For over two decades at AT&T, I tracked down errors, streamlined workflows, and led cross-functional teams. Looking back, I realize I wasn’t just validating systems—I was improving experiences for the people behind them.
When my department was offshored, I doubled down on what I cared about most: making technology work better for people. That led me to a Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction and a UI/UX certification, combining analytical rigor with a people-first design perspective.
Today, I work at the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center, where I conduct participant interviews, cognitive testing, and usability-focused improvements for research teams. One highlight: I created a new charting system that reduced errors and increased efficiency—now officially used by the MARS team. For me, UX research is about impact: reducing friction, increasing accessibility, and designing with empathy at the center.
🌎 My Values
- Accessibility and equity aren’t “features”—they’re the foundation.
- Every user deserves tools that are intuitive, respectful, and inclusive.
- The best research doesn’t just uncover pain points; it amplifies human stories.
