✅ Mini Site-Audit Checklist (Quick QA before/after changes)

1) Visibility & Contrast

  • Body text contrast ≥ 4.5:1 on all sections (light + dark).
  • Links vs. body text are clearly distinguishable (color + underline on hover).
  • Header/nav readable over gradients (frosted header shows; links visible).

2) Typography

  • Base font size ≥ 18px; line-height ≈ 1.6.
  • H1/H2 scale looks good on desktop and mobile (no wrapping disasters).
  • No tiny text hiding in footers, forms, or buttons.

3) Navigation

  • Nav links readable on all pages; hover turns teal.
  • Resume link renders as a pill button (desktop + mobile).
  • Active page is visually indicated (bold, color, or underline).

4) Buttons & Links

  • Primary buttons = teal; hover = darker teal.
  • Secondary/ghost buttons: teal outline + soft-bg hover.
  • Text links in content and footer use teal; hover uses darker teal.
  • External links marked (optional: add “↗” icon) and open in new tab if appropriate.

5) Sections & Presets

  • Any stubborn orange fixed by setting Section Colors → Light/White (or editing the Accent to teal).
  • No section uses conflicting theme presets that override teal styling.

6) Homepage Hero

  • One paragraph max; CTAs link correctly to Case Studies / About / Resume.
  • Illustration/headshot loads fast, looks sharp, and has good alt text.
  • Mobile: hero stacks cleanly (image above text), buttons wrap nicely.

7) Case Studies

  • Cards/titles/“Read more” show teal states.
  • Images are compressed (WebP/JPEG) and not huge (>200–300KB unless necessary).
  • Each study has a clear outcome/impact line.

8) About Page

  • Snapshot + Values + Life Outside Research read clearly; no age-flagging phrasing.
  • Illustration or headshot fits the theme; no weird stretching.
  • Contact path (footer or nav) is obvious.

9) Resume

  • “Download my résumé” link works; uses teal and looks intentional.
  • PDF filename is clean (e.g., Kisha-Lipscomb-UX-Researcher.pdf).
  • PDF is accessible (real text, not just images; selectable; tagged if possible).

10) Forms & Contact

  • Fields have labels and clear errors.
  • Submit button is teal; hover works.
  • Success/thank-you state is easy to see.

11) Accessibility & Keyboard

  • Tab focus visible on links and buttons (outline or underline).
  • Alt text on all meaningful images; decorative images alt="".
  • No content is color-only dependent (links also underline on hover or have icons).

12) Performance & SEO

  • Big images compressed; no layout shift on load.
  • Each page has a concise title + meta description.
  • Social share preview (Open Graph image) isn’t the default Squarespace screenshot.
